This is a new food for the littlest birdies, and we're really excited about this one! It's a combination of the healthiest natural (most of them organic or certified chemical-free!) foods that I feed my own little birds, with a flavor that they all love! These awesome nutrient-dense foods are ready for you to prepare before serving in an EASY 2-part process that will make them irresistable and fresh-tasting to your little birds. The work has already been done, the grains, legumes, and seeds have been sprouted and dried at low, nutrient-protecting temperatures; the veggies have been cut to itty bitty birdie size, the greens have been carefully selected and added to an herb-and-spice mix that was specially created for our little birds...you just have to add a little water, soak, and stir in the topping mix to give your birds a feast of over 3 dozen healthy food ingredients that will have them tails up before you can say "bon appetit"!
Part one consists of all whole foods, including germinated seeds, grains, and a few legumes (not too many, as most little birds don't need a big burst of protein), and rich dark red and green veggies to which you simply add a little warm water to rehydrate the goodies for 10 minutes (no cooking, keep those natural nutrients intact!). Part 2 is a delicious topping that adds more veggies, lots of greens, a few specially selected herbs, some of the healthy seeds that aren't usually included in seed mixes, and a little spice. Give it a stir, and watch 'em dig in!
Like all of our food offerings, this is yet another of the recipes that I feed to my own flock, which I've adapted for packaging, shipping, storing, and use by other loving bird owners who want to serve a variety of naturally healthy foods to their pets. This food requires extensive preparation, and uses many organic ingredients which are a little more costly, but remember - a little goes a LONG way! Just a teaspoon makes a great meal for an itty bitty birdie friend, so a 4-oz order, properly stored, could last a couple of months, depending on how often you feed it. These foods are so nutrient-dense that I only feed it to my own little birds every other day!
